Inspired By.....

To pass the time and in search for inspiration and enlightenment I tend to find myself, flipping through random pages or clicking through random links of just about anything. Never knowing what just might be on the other side. We all need that daily dose of inspiration from time to no matter what our interest may be.
My ipod not only consists of music but it consists of interviews ( audio & video ) of artists that I admire. To me getting to feel the artist behind the music is just as important as listening to their music. To help get a sense of what they set out to do with their music and how their creative process really works.

Everything is pretty swell on my end, between trying to keep up with school and blogging I rarely find time to  sit and breathe. But *meh* that's just how the game goes right? "You see it act like you want it"- Jay Z. I recently put on a fashion show alone with my fellow classmates, the turn out was better than I expected to be it was an interesting experience and learned a few tricks of the trade. I'll hopefully get my hands on some footage and share with you all.

I always appreciate the love and kind words I recieve from my readers, sharing my interests with others and even inspiring others in their own fields and ambitions is extremely rewarding.

Just the other day I received a very beautiful gift from Natasha who rides out in Nashville and has been following my blog for a good amount of time now. This pocket square is what she had given to me, what makes this gift such a heart warming sentiment is the heritage behind it.

Before leaving Ghana Natasha's aunt had given her Kente cloth to take with her. Kente cloth originates from Ghana. Kente is looked upon as a sacred cloth and is tended to be worn at times of celebration / importance. Kente can always be identified due to its fascinating multicolored patterns, mixture of geometric shapes, and eccentric designs.

For Natasha to share such a piece of her own personal history with me is extremely beautiful but not only that it is a symbol of personal encouragement for whatever it is I do and will always keep it close to me.

As temperatures slowly drop with the change of season, it comes time to look for pieces to shield one self from such weather. But of course you can do this in style, cold temperatures are never an excuse to go half ass or not take time out to find a garment that holds all your needs and compliments your style and taste.

I came across this jacket at a thrift store back home in Ottawa, that previous week I was actually on the hunt for a good over sized fitting fatigue jacket I really got lucky with this find. Camo print is really one of those print details that is hot one year and than the next it becomes one of those " what on earth was I thinking " moments when looking back at it.

But with anything I purchase longevity is the key, so as many times as camo print comes in and out of style, this jacket will just be in the closet awaiting for its glory.

The great outdoors as of late has really been looking like fall the vibrancy of colors and textures are just astonishing just walking to school. I just felt as if I had to par take in such use of color just can't let nature go at it alone. So that being said I had to whip out these chinos I picked up awhile back at Tommy Hilfiger pairing it with the truffle button up just seemed oh so right.

I paired up with the great folks over at Against Nudity to bring you guys another great giveaway. However this give away will work a tad bit different it will be carried on in a 3 part series. What I will be giving away is this genuine leather small impact satchel. It's size is extremely convenient I really cant stress that enough. It really is one of those bags where you really can just pick up and go not having to be cautious about bulkiness or wearing you down. It is 100% leather so with that being said this bag only can get better with age so there really is no down side to owning one.
