Breathe Me.

Follow Me:

This piece was written by a good friend of mine Khaleefa for more of his work CLICK HERE  and check out his blog where you will find all of his work.

 Inhale, Exhale

Inhale, exhale the movement of a wind sail, wind fell from lungs that were in jail
Rib caged & in hell in need of intel of what to do when win fails just inhale
Catch it, hold it, & don’t ever lose it, use it when the world seems ruthless
It can leave you breathless like when the two kiss the connection of two lips
Tulips will do a dance brought on by the wind exhaled from Mother Nature’s lungs
When she gave her speech to the birds & the bees in her own cryptic native tongue
And if the flutter of a butterfly’s wings can bring about a tornado
Then exhaling together will bring about the winds of change that tore NATO
Drop a house on social injustice & we’ll quickly get used to the adjustments
Humans could be a race with substance in a Utopia where trust lives
But trust this; each breath we take is a definition of what our soul is

Cuz the day we stop breathing is the day we’re soulless hold this with a closed fist

Close to your heart & let it live in between those who won’t sleep & bros with gold teeth

And the one thing this poem and breathing both have in common is that they’re both deep
Inhale, exhale with enough force to power the movement of a windsail
And when win fails & you’re down on your luck & in hell remember just inhale

POLO

Ralph Lauren originally joined the fashion world designing napkin-wide Beau Brummel ties in 1967. However, during those times narrow dark ties were the norm. But he successfully managed to  shatter that tradition with colourful ties trendy ties. Style, as opposed to fashion, is the major concept behind Ralph Lauren's work.  The following year he launched a menswear line, Polo, he offered styles that were very much more refined, a mix of English classic and American traditional. Ralph was highly inspired by such notable dressers as the Duke of Windsor, Cary Grant, and Fred Astaire, he began to produce classic lines derivative of the elegant man about town or the country squire of a previous age.

In 1971 Lauren opened his first retail store on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, California, building toward a total of 116 Polo-Ralph Lauren freestanding stores in the United States, plus one in London, Paris, and Shanghai, as well as 1,300 boutiques in department stores.  In 1986 he made fashion retailing history with an expansive megastore housed in the huge, elegant, former Rhinelander Mansion in New York. A tour de force of his concept of dreams and designs, the store is a stunning showcase for Lauren's lifestyle marketing philosophy. John Fairchild, chairman of Women's Wear Daily, called it "The best boutique in America, probably the world." Consumers worldwide responded to the magic - spending over $5 billion a year by 1997 to have the Lauren Look - making him the best-selling designer in the world.

Bonjour Montreal !

Hello everyone as summer slowly and surely comes to an end I hope you all enjoyed it. Hopefully you all enjoyed great times in the sun with friends and family without worrying about school the next morning I know I did. So as the majority of you know I have recently moved out to Montreal. My reason behind this decision was for school. I am attending LaSalle College for Fashion Marketing, I have only been here for 2 weeks now and already fallen in love with the city and truthfully I haven’t really done much but schooling. I have met amazing new people and my teachers are fantastic. I hope to gain much experience here in this great city and meet much more people along the way. At the moment I couldn’t think of anywhere better I could possibly be, just for the fact that I am a step closer to being somewhere where I know I need to be is a great feeling. However living all alone in this damn apartment isn’t helping one bit lol but aw well I’ll have to deal with the loneliness for now. Here are some photos I took on my first week here. Around my place there are many great places to take photos so for the first set of pics I decided to use these train tracks not sure if there abandoned or not but its whatevs.I will keep you guys posted on everything and anything exciting that arises :) .

I love my past. I love my present. I'm not ashamed of what I've had, and I'm not sad because I have it no longer.
